The inner self speaks

Everyone has an inner self. They may or may not reveal/listen to it. I am no different. I possess an inner self; one that in some ways is my polar opposite. If I am the ice, he is the fire. Together, we form the searing ice and the congealing flame...

Deep within subconsciousness I dwell,
My element leaves you blinded.
I make your very pride swell,
And you remain hated.
Unleash me! Behold...
Fury untold!
Never gauge;
I am...
Rage!
---

Greetings populi... Been a hectic week. First, a faulty internet connection that marred my catching up with your blogs. And then, an all important certification. Got done with it today... Which effectively means I am a Sun Certified Java Programmer. *gosh! And to think how much I loathe programming... I am an electronics graduate!*

And oh yes, this nonnet should have been published long back! Catch up with you all soon.

Peace.

You needn't have split the syllables..I get so confused :O

But yes..after deep thinking and understanding,I can judge out that this was b'ful!

And happy working =P

Ok...so this is what a nonnet should look like!!...:P :D

my words are a means to tell of my soul, my spirit, my essence, my core.
I love your images of the forces that provoke us. I too know of dark and light. My life demands it. I appreiate your depth, it is vast and strong. Most important, it is good.

Gail
peace.....

congratulations sir SCJP!!

and the nonnet was brilliant.. especially the way you've clearly separated the syllables.. very fine indeed.
although, both sides of the picture seem to reveal fury.. *shudder* scary :P

hmmm tat oh arre mom dad probs :P

Awesome .:)

AV said...

hmm.. i was with the same fury a few months ago. i guess later, i came to terms with the world revolving right where i was revolving left! but yes. i understand.

i shall not congratulate u for the java programmer part of this because(im sorry to be saying) i see only a grey future with a laptop and lots of caffeine and things such as "cout<< " (which is the best of my java knowledge.)
As for the nonnet it was erm good considering the rules you would have to follow and rage is well not something that can be spoken of..i have this feeling that rage as an independant emotion doesnt exist. but it might just be my niceness speaking.
thnks for separating the syllables with little red blocks, otherwise i would have had to google them..

oh, so many updates for me to read, i hope to get back to all posts shortly :)

every one has a inner, that's not the big deal, the worst in my case (and as depicted by your post as well) is that i have many me's living in myself, 180 degree opposites, a narcissist and a self-detester, an optimist and a pessimist - and living in harmony!

i am such a happily sadist *sigh*

ps. nice post

Congratulations.Loved the poem,and the image.

Nivedita said...

erm, lets just say i like to prove my point..
rage always is born out of hurt..its not like ur insides are exploding with rage all the time or anything..

WarmSunshine said...

this was a great one :) you managed to portray it so nicely :) Kudos!!

And congrats for becoming SCJP :)

it's a great feeling!!! Congrats!

sometimes a few words speak volumes... exactly what i wish to say about your nonnet..a wonderful thought, and extremely well-expressed...definitely commendable.. capturing so much in such limited words

coming to the post... i totally agree with you... we all have a dr.jekyll and mr.hyde inside us..

great to finally read something from your side...missed your posts, i must say.. waiting for your next one.. keep blogging.. cheers!!

Hi...first time here...dropped in from Mona's...

Loved this post....and the pic was jus great!!!

BRRRILLIANT!!!

Nivedita said...

even if rage is triggered by hurt, it cannot feed upon itself..you can be angry only when something does not live upto your expectations..rage comes from love..when love, belief, trust is broken..as long as love does not exist rage cannot..(i have feeling we are arguing on completely different terms and should be leaving it off here but it is not everyday that i meet a "foeman worthy of my steel")
u gave me the impression being a "realist" who stares at reality in the face and does not shirk away, which in my opinion does not exist..but hey atleast u've learnt to take life as it comes. much admired.i know all this coz im extremely assuming. lol
my sincere apologies for talking too much, people hate that in me and they love it too.

You can rest assured that I have absolutely no reason to 'hate' you for voicing out. Neither is there any need to render an apology. Period.

Peace.

Nivedita said...

i really dont lose anything by apologising..esp when im bordering rude..nice that u call it 'voicing out'.
following ur example i shall also say peace(its quite smart in a way..if someone tries to retaliate it will make them feel bad that ur being a good sport and they r not..not that im implying ur doing that :P)

Richa said...

this one is lovely piece again!!

the Fan is turning into an AC, make arrangements, its winters ;)

Gypsy Couple said...

I didnt get the java programmer joke .. but the posts swell .. gr8 job man ..!

Nivedita said...

wrote a very long thank u and all when my net decided to be mean again..i dont blame it the dsl cable is stretched and pulled to 20houses all of whom want to go o9 at the same time..
my tuition teacher made me walk halfway arnd the rectangular classroom and then turn around and walk back..and that was AC!!! how much smarter can a person get? he made me feel like an electron!!
lol im a bit konked up..and the only conversation i seem to be having is half hour on the net that too no msngr..moms orders..will have to make do with jabbering to strangers who have the least concern which is of course fun in its own ways..now i will sit me down to transformers..how much more nicer it is when the same name is given to an action film with loud explosions and yelling :(
